Indian Embassy Issues Revised Advisory The Indian Embassy in Tehran has asked Indian citizens residing in or visiting Iran to exercise extreme caution as the security situation continues to deteriorate due to the ongoing regional conflict. In its latest advisory, the embassy said that Indian nationals who are currently in Iran should consider temporarily exiting the country based on their personal circumstances and the evolving security environment. It also urged citizens to remain alert, avoid unnecessary movement, and closely follow updates issued by local authorities. Travel to Iran Discouraged Until Situation Improves The embassy has also advised Indian citizens planning to travel to Iran for business, tourism, education, or any other purpose to postpone their visit until further notice. "Indian nationals intending to travel to Iran for any purpose should postpone travel for the time being, until the security environment improves," the advisory stated. The warning comes as hostilities in the region have intensified, raising concerns over public safety and international travel. Embassy Assures Assistance to Indian Nationals The embassy said it is closely monitoring developments and remains available to assist Indian nationals in Iran. Citizens have been advised to stay in touch with embassy officials, keep emergency contact details handy, and follow verified government advisories. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is expected to continue reviewing the situation and issue further updates if required.
