Hello, Don Gramur. Greetings and welcome! I see you're building a name for yourself in the music industry as one of the best lyrical rappers and an Instagram top 9 influencer on the independent scene. How does it make you feel?

I feel great. I like that I’m able to make an impact, while still being able to just be myself and give a positive message.

Can you tell us more about one of your latest singles, Dream Killer?

Ah, yes. The song Dream Killa was something new that I wanted to give listeners. I decided to play around with a different singing style while telling a story of my current feelings on the state of this world and people. The style of rapping and singing on the song is very unique. I like to give my listeners a fresh new listening experience.

Is it better to do creative work in a studio setting or engage with a live audience? Which of these two choices piques your interest the most?

I like working in a studio setting. That is where the raw talent is discovered and developed.

Do you ever have to cope with criticism and doubters because of the large impact of social media critics?

I’ve had to in the past. You know, people don’t really understand what you go through. We live in a world where people are very assumptive and judgmental of things they don’t even understand. They may judge what doesn’t look normal to them. At one point in time, I would be angry at the doubters and naysayers, but I realized they just don’t know. They just don’t know how great I really am and the impact I will have. It definitely is beneath me now. I’m not bothered by these type of people at all. They will have to eat their words and change their stance when they see me coming.

Who would you choose if you could go on tour with any popular industry musician in the near future, and why?

Lauryn Hill and J. Cole. It would be a powerful and uplifting experience for me and whoever else is in attendance. I like artists who are relatable and make music that speak to the soul and spirit. These two artists are genuinely themselves and they believe in a higher power.

What more can we look forward to from Don Gramur in 2022?

You will just have to see. This is a breakthrough year for me.
