How To Change Suddenlink Wifi Name and Password

Changing the Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password can be done in many different ways. You can use your phone or other devices like computers to do this. The steps provided in this context demonstrate how to change Suddenlink Wi-Fi name and password using an iPhone. Feel free to refer to this easy tutorial if needed.

Get started when you're ready to make changes to your Wi-Fi network information.

  • Go to your iPhone Settings-> Wi-Fi Menu.
  • If Wi-Fi is off, toggle the switch to turn Wi-Fi on and connect to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Once connected, tap the information icon next to your Wi-Fi network name.
  • Doing so will open the network details, including your router's IP address.
  • Copy the IP address of your router.
  • Then open your browser app (Safari, Chrome, etc.) on your iPhone.
  • Enter or paste your router's IP address into the browser's search bar. After entering the correct IP address, press Enter to be redirected to your router's admin panel or security page. Here you will see several options.
  • If prompted, enter your username and password in the fields provided on the router's login page. If you are not sure, you can enter the default username and password is admin. Or you can check at the bottom or back of your wireless router. The username and password information of the router is usually written there. If not, contact your Internet service provider or router manufacturer for the information you need.
  • After successfully logging in to your router page, navigate to Wi-Fi settings or something similar to that menu option. The Wi-Fi login page or security section will be different for each router.
  • From there, you should see a text field or box indicating your current password. Edit or change the information written in that box, and then click Apply, Update, or Save.
  • Reboot your router to update the system and apply the new changes.
  • Go back to your iPhone settings-> Wi-Fi menu, then toggle the Wi-Fi switch to turn off the function, and then turn it back on. Doing so will refresh your Wi-Fi connection.
  • Allow all wireless networks to appear and you should see that your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) is now updated.
  • Then tap to select and connect to your updated Wi-Fi network, then enter the new password when prompted.

If you are using a Netgear wireless router, you can also change your Wi-Fi network name and password with the Smart Wizard. Is that how it works:
