They have put in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a small but artful and enterprising minority to make the public administration the mirror of their ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests.21Because government 'FAILED' in their duty to assure a proper education in our schools, it is the duty of the people to self-educate, educate their sheriff, and educate our children. This is the purpose of these Series of Handbooks and www.nationallibertyalliance.org ONLY THE PEOPLE CAN SAVE AMERICA: Today Liberty and our very way of life are under attack. Because We the People are ignorant of the true Law of the Land and our history, we have lost our way! It17s not until we start to read about what we have inherited from our founding fathers that we start to realize how far we have drifted from the blessings of Liberty. But, there is hope. There is a grassroots movement across America reinstating the elected Committeeman, Common Law Grand and Petit Juries to restore our American way of life. And, if we can reach our 3100+/- American County Sheriffs and convince them to work with the People to restore our Constitution, we can save America from self-destruction. 16Sheriff, Remember your oath!17Thomas Jefferson said, The purpose of government is to enable the people of a nation to live in safety and happiness. Government exists for the interests of the governed, not for the governors. The tax which will be paid for the purpose of education is not more than the thousandth part of what will be paid to kings, priests and nobles who will rise up among us if we leave the people in ignorance. Educate and inform the whole mass of the people... They are the only sure reliance for the preservation of our liberty. I know no safe depositary of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves and if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power. An enlightened citizenry is indispensable for the proper functioning of a republic. Self-government is not possible unless the citizens are educated sufficiently to enable them to exercise oversight. It is therefore imperative that the nation see to it that a suitable education be provided for all its citizens.21Only when We the People rise up to stand against tyrants in our government will we be able to return to our former status under common law. In order to accomplish this, all of us must first be educated in the Law of the Land. This is the challenge that 16must be met17 if we are to save our Republic.
