MMOSO - What has changed in the WoW WotLK Classic pre-release phase?

XP buff Rushing Journeys goes live this week on WoW TBC Classic servers. We set the release date for Wrath of the Lich King Classic Edition at 12:01 AM BST on September 27, 2022. On August 10, 2022, TBC Classic will announce the retirement of some sparsely populated servers in June. As such, Blizzard developers will soon begin the pre-release phase of WotLK Classic.

In this article, we'll summarize everything we know about this pre-release phase, and what changes patch 3.4.0 will bring to the TBC Classic online server. here we go!

Pre-release of WotLK Classic - it's well known
Let's start by reviewing the announcements Blizzard has made for the pre-release phase of WotLK Classic:

The pre-release phase of WotLK Classic should last at least two weeks and a maximum of six weeks. In April, developers tend to take three to four weeks. Therefore, the pre-release phase should start in the second half of August or the first half of September.
This fits: According to Blizzard, the experience point buff should activate a few weeks before WotLK Classic's 3.4.0 pre-patch, and should be available for at least six to eight weeks (i.e. until the day of WotLK Classic). It's about nine weeks now.
Reboot servers are scheduled to go live via WotLK Classic pre-patch.
Once the pre-patch for Wrath of the Lich King Classic is released, you can start leveling up the new Inscription class.
Death Knights will also be available to us in the pre-release phase. The first death knight in each realm can be created without restrictions (exception: restart the server).
Before the release of WotLK Classic, Blizzard wanted to offer paid character boosts.

Changes in WotLK Classic pre-release patch
Now let's take a look at the most important changes, big and small, that may affect production servers during the pre-release phase of WotLK Classic. There are Wrath Classic Gold EU for sale.

Spend 10 gold in WotLK Classic and you can be sure you won't gain any more experience points. This way, for example, you can breed a noble twin for level 19 or 29 PvP.
Your Hearthstone cooldown will be reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes.
When mining, you only need to loot each ore vein once to collect all the ore. Plus, collecting (including herbs, clouds, and leather) and unlocking is faster than the TBC Classic.

Skinned characters have up to 40 increased critical strike chances (depending on skill level). Mountain farmer's stamina is increased by up to 60 points (depending on skill level). The herbalist uses Lifeblood to heal for 5 seconds.
In WotLK Classic, you can change your engineering specialization in Tanaris for 150 GP.
Barber allows you to customize the appearance and gender of your character.
Quest items are now visually highlighted more clearly.
There is now a portal to the Blasted Lands in the capital, making it easier for characters above level 58 to reach Outland. 
The bottle only lasts an hour instead of 120 minutes.
Casting sequence macros are available in WotLK Classic, where you can chain instant spells together.

Inventory space and mounts

All PvP and PvE badges now have an extra badge tab in the character window. So these no longer take up inventory space.
There is now a new tab in the character window: "Companions". There you'll find all your "learned" mounts, so you no longer need to carry them around in your inventory.
You can have consumables, such as potions, in your inventory in groups of 20.
Slow flying mounts no longer have 60% speed, but 150% speed.

It was only patched 3.2 at the time, but it's possible that Blizzard has lowered the price of mounts in a pre-release patch: from level 20 it costs about 4 gold to ride normally (minus the prestige discount, plus about 1 gold for the mount), from level 40 fast mounts about 50 gold (minus the prestige discount, plus fast ground mounts about 10 gold), there is also a faction discount on the flying mount skill (Stormwind and Orgrimmar are the decisive factors in the price discount). By the way, you can learn normal flying at level 60 (you need level 70 to be fast).
